Leonardo DiCaprio has revealed he actually likes all the secrecy surrounding his new film Inception.
The Shutter Island star is the lead character in Christopher Nolan's thriller, which also stars Ellen Page, Marion Cotillard and Michael Caine, but the plot has been kept a closely guarded secret.
"I actually like all the secrecy - much of the appeal of this movie is going to be experiencing the journey with the characters and not knowing what to expect," he told Empire.
"It's great not to have to put a label on something. I love not to talk about movies I've done in great detail before they're seen."
Leonardo admitted he is still baffled by the film, even though he has seen it.
"You never know what's gonna happen next. Even having worked on the movie and knowing the plot, when I watched the movie I was like, 'Wow, what the hell am I gonna see next? I have no idea what's possible'. It's hard to do that," he said.
He was hooked from the word go: "It reminded me of Insomnia or Memento, but on steroids. I just became immediately intrigued by this concept - this dream-heist notion and how this character's gonna unlock his dreamworld and ultimately affect his real life."

The mind-blowing movie event of the summer arrives just in time to hold back the flow of Hollywood sputum that’s been sliming the multiplex. ‘Inception’…will be called many things, starting with James Bond Meets ‘The Matrix.’ You can feel the vibe of Ridley Scott’s ‘Blade Runner’ in it, and Nolan’s own ‘Memento’ and ‘The Dark Knight.’ But ‘Inception’ glows with a blue-flame intensity all its own. Nolan creates a dream world that he wants us to fill with our own secrets. I can’t think of a better goal for any filmmaker. Of course, trusting the intelligence of the audience can cost Nolan at the box office. We’re so used to being treated like idiots. How to cope with a grand-scale epic, shot in six countries at a reported cost of $160 million, that turns your head around six ways from Sunday? Dive in and drive yourself crazy, that’s how.
