Je pense que le film va se prendre un sacré bouillon à sa sortie tellement c'est bavard et étrange mais bon, j'étais persuadé qu'Avatar avec ses girafes bleues allait se planter avant sa sortie donc je ne dis plus rien !

Depuis le temps que j'attendais qu'il le dise.

Le film est officiellement classé R pour, je cite, "violence, language, sexuality/nudity and some drug use."
La durée finale est de 164 minutes, il faut croire que la Warner a décidé de faire confiance au montage des Wacho et de Tykwer et de ne pas le remonter. Hormis donc les SFX pas totalement finis, la version cannoise était apparemment la version qui sera présentée en salles.

Curieux de voir comment ils vont tenter de vendre le film, comme logan l'a dit ça sent le naufrage financier à des kilomètres.

Eh ben du coup je donne un coup de chapeau à Warner de produire un tel film et je suis content pour les Wachos que le film se soit finalement fait quand ils ont été au bord de l'arrêt de nombreuses fois en automne 2011.
C'est un projet super intriguant et j'ai vraiment l'impression que c'est bien ce studio qui a la meilleure approche du cinéma grand public.

Comme je l'ai déjà dit : ce film peut être un vrai classique de la SF, bien plus couillu et ambitieux que la bousasse de Ridley Scott.

Au moins, c'est adapté d'un bouquin brillant, donc si l'adaptation est réussie, ce ne sera pas truffé d'incohérences.

Bah d'après les premiers retours, le truc le plus impressionnant sur le plan de l'adaptation c'est que absolument tout serait compréhensible alors que toutes les histoires sont mélangées entre elles, à l'inverse du matériau de base.

A l'origine prévu pour décembre, Warner avance la date de sortie au 26 octobre. Du coup, la promo marketing ne devrait pas tarder à commencer. On parle déjà d'un trailer diffusé avant The Dark Knight Rises. Par contre, il semblerait que le film ne sorte chez nous que tout début 2013.

Pictures has officially slated the epic “Cloud Atlas,” from acclaimed filmmakers Lana Wachowski, Tom Tykwer, and Andy Wachowski, for domestic release on October 26, 2012. In addition, the Studio has acquired rights for the film in the major markets of the UK, France, Spain, Australia, and Japan, with plans to release it in those territories in early 2013. Fellman stated, “Audiences who have seen an early screening of ‘Cloud Atlas’ have been elated by its powerful and inspiring story, as well as its breathtaking visuals. An October release in North America is the perfect window to showcase this epic film.”

Academy Award® winners Tom Hanks (“Philadelphia,” “Forrest Gump”) and Halle Berry (“Monster’s Ball”) lead a stellar international cast that includes Oscar® winner Jim Broadbent (“Iris”), Hugo Weaving, Jim Sturgess, Doona Bae, Ben Whishaw, James D’Arcy, Zhou Xun and Keith David, with Oscar® winner Susan Sarandon (“Dead Man Walking”) and Hugh Grant. C'est surtout que le film est presque fini, que le sortir en décembre serait suicidaire et que le 26 octobre lui permettra de se retrouver face à une concurrence pas très glorieuse.

À peine 4 mois pour vendre un film casse gueule dont personne à entendu parle ... Bonne chance. la sortie décalé c'est toujours pour avoir d'abord un territoire test ici US et selon le résultat au box office on distribue plus ou moins bien sur le reste du monde.

Après je serais le premier content qu'un projet aussi risque et complexe trouve son public et cartonne, mais je suis perplexe.

Je pense pas que le film attirera énormément moi non plus, mais rien que pour le casting je pense qu'il y aura un nombre plutôt conséquent en première semaine US. Après, c'est évident que le film marchera beaucoup mieux à l'international.
