Invasion Of The Body Snatchers (1956): Plant-like extraterrestrials have invaded Earth, replicating the villagers in giant seed "pods" and taking possession of their souls while they sleep. Soon the entire town is overwhelmed by the inhuman horror, but it won't stop there. In a terrifying race for his life, Dr. Bennell escapes to warn the world of the deadly invasion of the pod people!

The Thing From Another World (1951): Artic researchers discover a huge, frozen spaceling inside a crash-landed UFO, then fight for their lives after the murderous being emerges from icy captivity. Will other creatures soon follow? The famed final words of this film are both warning and answer: "Keep watching the skies!"

The Incredible Shrinking Man (1957): Almost beyond the imagination . . . A strange adventure into the unknown !

This Island Earth (1955): It's death rays, mutant bugs, college sweethearts turned nuclear fission experts and a visit to planet Metaluna via spaceship in this 1955 science fiction film which is now regarded as the archetypal sci-fi flick of the Fifties.

The Creature From The Black Lagoon (1954): Scientists drug and capture the creature, who becomes enamored with the head scientist's female assistant. The lonely creature, "a living amphibious missing link," escapes and kidnaps the object of his affection. Chief scientist then launches a crusade to rescue his assistant and cast the ominous creature back to the depths from where he came.

It Came From Outer Space (1953): Amateur astronomer John Putnam and his fiancée Ellen Fields are stargazing in the desert when a spaceship bursts from the sky and crashes to the ground. Just before a landslide buries the ship, a mysterious creature emerges and disappears into the darkness. Of course, when he tells his story to the sheriff (Charles Drake), John is branded a crackpot; but before long, strange things begin to happen, and the tide of disbelief turns.

Tarantula (1955): Even Science was stunned!

"Our films were never intended for a passive audience. There are enough of those kinds of films being made. We wanted our audience to have to work, to have to think, to have to actually participate in order to enjoy them."
